Welcome to the 2018 - 2019 Blizzard Season!

We are well under way in the process for accepting applications for our upcoming Blizzard Season. Behind the scenes our website is being updated (the calendar now has our trip dates,) and we have our Epic Pass link from Vail for those of you who would like to buy a discounted Epic Pass before the rates increase on October 7, 2018.  Purchase an Epic Pass  Please do NOT purchase a 4 or 7 day pass, we cannot accept them during the season as they are too hard to track. If you need help with any part of the club and how it works, take advantage of our information rich website which details every aspect of our club ad nauseum.

Returning members receive a 10% discount through October 15th. We welcome new members as well. The annual membership fee has not changed from last year, although the discount fee has been adjusted slightly. If you are renting from Viking, and I heartily recommend a seasonal rental over individual trip rentals, their $40 discount for Blizzard members expires on November 4th.  We don't have the weekly trip fee worked out yet, as we are still getting bids from the bus companies.

Additional information on location of new additional bus stops still has to be worked out. The Lincoln Park stop, River Forest, and Oak Brook will remain the same. We expect to be able to continue to use the Lake Zurich stop until they start construction on the Kmart property. And, we know that the Barrington stop is at the Viking Ski Shop in Barrington. All other stops are in the air at the moment until we see where our members reside. I want to make the north shore stops more accessible if we can, and add, two more northwest stops. Suggestions are appreciated (so are new members in the new locations.)

Last but not least, Supervisors. We need them. From all locations. I’d prefer those of you who can commit to at least 4 trips per season. There are only 3 or 4 people that have committed to every single trip and they are gold to me. I’d gladly welcome more. I will start webinar overviews of the club for those of you who need to hear more and want to ask questions in a group forum. The first one will be later in September.

Pray for Snow!
