Clothing
Please access the Weather Report before you dress your youngster (or suggest attire to an older participant). Conditions can vary and we recommend erring on the side of caution. Some items are to always be included, others are more seasonal.
Blizzard ID Tag!
Epic or Alpine Pass, if you have one
Face Masks (Covid and for really cold weather)
Helmet (a must for any skier or snowboarder) They can be rented at Wilmot or Alpine for $10 but I recommend you purchase one for the season. We prefer all members have helmets.
Warm hat
Waterproof Gloves or Mittens (must have leather or synthetic palms, not fabric or knit)
Neck gaiter or turtleneck or fleece collar (no scarves)
Outer Jacket preferably with zip pockets both inside and out
Inner layer - turtleneck, sweater, sweatshirt
Inner warmth layer such as long underwear (top and bottom) - seasonal
Moisture-wicking socks that rise higher than a ski boot (athletic or cotton socks are not appropriate)
Snow pants or sturdy water-resistant pants. Blue jeans will get very wet and stay wet.
Sunglasses or goggles
Other Gear
All equipment must have a safety brake or leash strap including snowboards
Sunscreen
Lip balm
Hand Warmers - check the Blizzard Desk on cold days as we often bring them
Tissues
Money for Snacks and Lunch (minimum $15)
Extra pair of anything you suspect your child might lose or need
The Blizzard Desk will have a limited amount of the above items including poles, to borrow
