Off to a Good Start. Blizzard is Live for our 60th Season!

The Blizzard registration opend at 7 AM this morning and I feel like I am watching a horse race. We have so many participants and it is fascinating to see what stops people choose.  Ever since one school on the northwest side became involved and their members chose to drive out of the city, I have been trying to find the right spot for a northside stop. With the assistance of Alderman Andre Vasquez of the 40th Ward, we quickly spotted Winnemac as a central location to appease our north and northwest siders.  I also have a back up plan if we outgrow that stop!

I think long term having stops at Old Orchard (Niles North,) Wilmette, and Skokie (Lincolnwood Town Center) doesn't make sense unless we get an increase in membership from Skokie and Evanston, so one of those may go away.

I still feel that we have not settled on the right location for the Northwest suburban stops with Schaumburg, Palatine and Lake Zurich. We need one further east towards Long Grove and Buffalo Grove, but again, I need more members from that area to know exactly where that stop should be, and from where it should emanate.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. The club is still open for membership, so ask your friends and neighbors to help fill those gaps.

The last bit left to accomplish for the week, other than creating the membership tags (which may or may not get produced - depending on the cooperation of the card printer) is building the Supervisor base.  Thanks to all of you who have joined in to the Supervisor Webinar series and still expressed an interest. You'll be hearing from me soon about how to sign up.

For now, ensure you send me your rental serial number (in the middle of the rental doc NOT the rental page number that starts with a C or B (if you rented from Viking.)) And, place your Epic Pass number in your file (and let me know if we need to pick up the pass at Wilmot.)

Sign up on RainedOut.com for our emergency Communication system.

And relax. I'll follow the weather and give you a heads up once we know whether or not we are going this Saturday.
